These sessions go really fast!  Limited to five only at this very special price!  These sessions are not available for newborns due to the nature of newborn sessions and the time involved.  I’d also recommend that children should be able to at least sit up unattended for these types of sessions.   Please contact me for more information.  Once they’re gone they’re gone!

Mr. “R” is my FAVORITE age for a baby session!  He’s seven months old.  At this age they are usually able to sit up nicely without assistance and they are not yet able to crawl or walk which means they don’t try to get away from you!  They usually sit there and smile and flirt and are simply adorable!  Once babies start walking, it’s very hard to photograph them because they have no interest in sitting for the camera!  Every time you sit them down, they try to get away! LOL!  If you’re thinking of doing baby portraits, it’s really a great idea to do it at this age when they are so happy and able to sit up but not crawl or walk yet!   You get the best photographs at this age!  This guy was just adorable and I’m truly having trouble narrowing down what to show here because his photographs are all just adorable!  He made me giggle all through his session!  Now I’m smiling all the way through the edits for this session, you cannot get any cuter!  His mommy did an awesome job selecting outfits for him too!

One of the most incredible things that I do is to photograph a family as they celebrate life together!  To me these sessions are the most meaningful of all my work.  They are filled with love and laughter and precious moments together that become cherished memories for ever.   To me this is what real photography is about!  It’s not about looking perfect for the camera, it’s about being together!   So many times I hear people say, “I want to have a session with you, but I need to loose some weight first”, or “I need to wait till my hair grows longer”, etc.   The truth of the matter is, none of us know if we’ll be here tomorrow, and there’s always going to be something that we don’t think is perfect about ourselves to hold us up from getting it done.  I’m guilty of this too!  I’ve had many people over the past couple of years come to me asking me to do these sessions that I call “Lifestyle” because a family member is ill and they didn’t get around to getting those pictures earlier and they want to have them now!  Sometimes the family member is ill with cancer or a terminal illness, other times they have a family member who is confused with dementia.  It seems that everyone lets their guard down at a time like this and realizes what exactly a photograph is about!   It’s about being together, at this moment in time!  No one cares if you are 10 pounds overweight, or if your hair is too short/long or you don’t have that perfect outfit!  It’s about family!  These sessions are not sad times, they are usually filled with laughter and light-hearted fun.  There is more than the act of taking the actually photograph….it’s also a memory of a fun time with everyone together!  And trust me, everyone looks fabulous in these photographs, they are cherished memories and no one notices the imperfections that keep us from being in photographs otherwise!   Many of us lose our loved ones suddenly and don’t have a chance to do something like this.  The families that have come to me for a Lifestyle session have been lucky enough to have the chance to do these sessions.  Photography is one of the most cherished possessions we can ever have to help us hold on to those memories!

This Lifestyle session is of my very special photographer friend Tara and her beautiful family.  I’m so honored that they asked me to capture these beautiful, sweet moments of them together!   I just wanted to share a few from their session at my studio.  So hard to keep this to just a few, honestly, there are so many precious ones!

Tara and her mom, they are both so beautiful!

I’ve been so lucky this winter to have quite a few wonderful service people in the studio!  I’ve had some sessions with quite a few Army folks and now a Navy baby!  This little one was a perfect angel in the studio!  Not a single peep out of her during the entire session!  She came in to the studio at 9 days old.  I cannot stress enough how important it is to get newborns in before they turn 14 days old.  The session is so much better the early they come in!    She’s a special little angel, her daddy is out to sea with the Navy and he will not meet this little one till she’s seven months old! I hope he can see these from where he’s stationed and just maybe enjoy some of this wonderful sweetness!

I ended 2010 with this adorable family in my studio on New Year’s Eve!  They are so sweet with their beautiful baby boy!  Baby “D” was so laid back and seemed happiest to be able to stretch out and lay back right on the floor in the studio!   He’s three weeks and already past that curled up newborn phase but still as sweet as pie!   I was so happy to capture these special memories for them!    Here is a preview for Family “M”!

Wow….This family of cousins came to see me to do a portrait for their grandmother for Christmas.  Their grandmother is an avid knitter….an awesome one I might add!  She makes her grandchildren beautiful sweaters and they decided to wear them for their session!  I seriously felt like I was on a childrens model shoot!  Fabulous clothing, beautiful children, beautiful location!   Seven of the most well-behaved children I might add!  And their moms….well, they were fun and happy and laughing and I felt like I knew them forever!  To be honest, when I looked at my schedule and realized I was going off to shoot 7 children ages 3 – 12 I headed out shaking in my boots!  These types of sessions can be a bit…well….rough on an old lady like me…lol.  They were just perfect!

So, of course, here is a large share from their session!  As always, I’m keeping their group photos under wraps for them!   Which is okay because I have so much to share anyway!  Check these guys out!  Oh…and yes, there are six boys and one princess!  Oh, and they are seriously GORGEOUS!   There are some incredible genes in this family!

Just a reminder that I’ll be at the William Winsor Vendor/Craft show today.  Route 44, Greenville RI from 10-3.   I’d love to see you all come by so you can see my display of beautiful photographs!  Of course they look great online, but they are even more incredible in person!  I have lots to show you so come on by!  If I haven’t met you, stop by and introduce yourself!  I’d love to meet you!  I have a coupon for Jan/Feb sessions and I’m going to give away a free session with an 11×14 print so be sure to sign up!    There are five or six craft/bazaar/vendor shows all in the heart of Greenville!  It’s like an indoor art festival so come on by and get a jump on your holiday shopping!  I promise it’s great fun and you’ll see lots of incredible things!

Also, a reminder that due to the show today, my son’s hockey tournament this weekend and my daughter’s dance recital I’m a bit slow to answer emails and get proofs, etc. out this weekend.   The vendor show/hockey tourney/dance recital are scheduled on the same weekend every year as well as my house full of busy people.  I basically take this weekend off from my work but I promise I’ll be back full swing on Monday pumping things out!

Enjoy your weekend!  Hope to see you out shopping today!  ;)

Yesterday was simply picture perfect!  70 degrees and glorious sunshine!  Just perfection!  I enjoyed every minute!  Of course I did have a couple of sessions!  Here is a peek at the afternoon family session…the morning session will come later (lots of beautiful children).  The afternoon session was perfectly timed during the stunning afternoon sunset!  And with the warm weather it was so much fun to be out!  There are still a lot of great leaves left at the studio, located at the beautiful Cortland Place in Greenville!  I’m so lucky to have such a fabulous setting for my sessions!  Here is a quick peek of yesterday afternoon’s adult session…seriously, I wanted to put them all up!  Seriously, there are too many fabulous shots from this session!

You guys really rocked that couch!  Sorry Mark you couldn’t take it home!  LOL  I hope you guys had as much fun as I did!  Lots of laughs!  All we were missing was the wine!  Be in touch soon with your proofs!

Oh me oh my, not one but two toddler boys!  Twins in fact!  They were so stinking cute I wanted to take them home with me!   Non-stop giggles and just running, running, running!  Mom and dad really should think about enrolling them in some sort of track or soccer program because I have never seen children that are under two run like these guys can!  They were the happiest little guys too!  SO fun, you guys must laugh a lot at home!  Here’s a peek from their session:

RI Baby and child PhotographerRI Children's PHotographerAnd I think this is the only shot where they are not smiling, but I thought it was so cute!  This is at the end of the session…one of the boys had lost his shoes and they were ready to go, I love how one of the boys has his hand on the other, they’re just so sweet and it was a natural moment…too cute!

This is a continuation from yesterday’s quick one picture post!  This is Amy’s family…they are so sweet!  Amy is Amy of Amy Ro Photography!  It was lots of fun meeting them for their session and walking through the park looking for some fun places to shoot!   Here is a little peek from their family session!

RI Children's PHotographerRI Children's PhotographerRI Children's PhotographerAnd I don’t usually show family photographs at this time as most of my clients use them as holiday gifts and for their holiday cards so I try to keep them under wraps for them so they are a big surprise to all their friends and relatives!  Just in case you’re wondering why you never see any!  lol

That’s all for now!  Have a fabulous day!

More boys….all “J”s again!  LOL  What a session this was for me.  I dubbed them Big J, Medium J, Little J and Mini J just to make it easy on myself!  They were all lots of fun!

All four of the “J” boys (big J in the post below) were a lot of fun!  Four busy boys during one session!  We did get a lot accomplished!  Whew!  Hope you enjoy your peek!  I’ll be in touch soon!

This is my second year with the “D” family!  I LOVE when my clients come back the following year!   I love seeing how much they’ve grown and changed!  It means so much to me to see them again in front of my camera!  The “D” family is one of those families that always manages to delight me with their fun nature!  These kids are full of energy!  What kids are not at this age?!?  Seems the older I get, the faster they get!  LOL  They are adorable and just so fun!  Sort of a large share, but I just couldn’t help myself!  Enjoy a peek from their family session!

Maternity sessions are just so special.  I love photographing such happy couples who are so in love anticipating the arrival of their new little one!  These two were just glowing with love for their new little one who will soon be joining them!  We did a little studio and some outside because it was so beautiful and peek for fall leaves!  Here are a few from their session!  Oh…and yes, that is them in the post below with the pumpkin!  They’re just too cute and so sweet with each other!  They’re going to make great parents!

I have been photographing this family for three years now!  I LOVE repeat clients!   I love seeing families and children grow and change through the years…it’s always amazing!  I’ve been photographing this family since this little boy was 2!  And now he’s a big boy running and playing with his sister, who has no problem keeping up!  They are too cute together!  I just wanted to share a few from their fall session!

I think this is the only shot I was able to get of this little one sitting!  She’s a new walker and nothing is gonna stop her!  I LOVE her hat!
