April 22, 2012Very very busy lately at the studio! Spring session time is upon us and it’s comfy and beautiful out! This is when everyone starts thinking about booking a session! I’m currently booking June sessions outdoors and in the studio as well as beach sessions! I also have a couple of spots left in the Tea Party Mini sessions which are sure to be a lot of fun for toddlers and little girls! We are having such beautiful weather and spring sessions are underway! It’s fabulous outdoors and what better time for a shoot!? I had great time yesterday with these little ones and their family! Seven month old little “G” was a smiley as can be! You just look at him and he instantly beams! He is at the perfect age for a portrait! Seven months and sitting up but not walking or crawling babies tend to be very happy and friendly! Little Miss “H” was just like most two year olds! Playful and inquisitive and more interested in running and exploring than sitting for photos but we still managed to get some beautiful portraits of her! Here is a little peek from their photo shoot!

Little Miss “A” Cake Smash|RI Baby Photographer
April 6, 2012Little Miss “A” came into the studio for a very special session! She is one very special girl with some very special people in her life that love her very much! She’s turning one this week so she came in for her very first portrait session and cake smash! What’s better than capturing your one year old with their very first birthday cake!? It’s a really fun session and it truly makes memories that will last a life time! Look at this sweetie! She was so much fun!

I am SO behind on my blogging! I have SO much to share but I’ve been SO busy with non-stop sessions! There is truly a baby boom going on and there have been so many newborn sessions going on! I just wanted to pop on to share a few from the session of newborn baby “E”! She was a sweet as can be! I just love all these babies!
As a reminder, if you a pregnant please book your newborn session in advance of your baby’s birth! This will ensure you get into the studio within that magical two week window where newborns are still sleepy and will curl up well for the newborn types of shots! If you wait until your baby is born before booking your session you may not be able to get into the studio within that time! I’ve been turning people away almost every day. Newborn sessions are about three hours long so it’s not always easy to squeeze them in! Book early! I only book a certain number per month to ensure that everyone will get in to the studio for their session! The schedule has been booked up pretty tight right through this year so please plan accordingly!
Have a wonderful Easter weekend everyone! I have a few newborn sessions to get through this weekend and then I’ll be enjoying my family on Sunday! First up this morning, egg coloring with my kiddies! Such fun!
Newborn Baby “H”|RI Newborn Baby Photographer
March 25, 2012Baby “H” was a sweet as can be! Just love having all these newborn babies in the studio! I get to cuddle them and get some sweet photographs of them while getting to know their parents, it’s really a fun time! I love capturing these little ones while they are still so little and before they’ve changed too much. As a mom myself I know how quickly they change and grow! It’s amazing when they come back to the studio a few weeks after their session to view their photographs and they bring their little ones back and to see how much they have already changed in that tiny span of time! Anyhow, check out baby “H” at her very first photo shoot…as cute as can be!
This family has a very special connection to turtles and they surprised me with this sweet turtle prop! Thank goodness I have a log in my studio because what’s better than a sweet turtle on a log!
Not sure what happened nine months ago but there sure is a baby boom going on these days at the studio! It’s so much fun having these sweet little ones in the studio!
The “F” Newborn Baby Twins!|RI Newborn Photographer
March 20, 2012These twins were as sweet as sugar! I enjoyed their session and it was so great seeing their mama’s again! I hope they are getting some rest! I cannot imagine having two newborns at one time! Though I do notice that newborns tend to do much better during a session. Maybe it’s because they are already adjusted to not being the only one, I’m not sure, but goodness, these two are adorable! What’s better than a boy and a girl filled with newborn sweetness! Check out this little peek!
Sweet babies are just piling into the studio right now! It is truly a baby boom! Please make sure you book your newborn sessions well BEFORE your baby is born! I’ve recently had to turn away quite a few people who tried to book sessions after their baby was born. The two week window of time that we like to get them into the studio is so small that it’s very likely that if you wait until after your baby is born that you will not get in!

March 11, 2012On my way out to another busy day at the studio with a line up of an early morning baby session and a model session this afternoon but in my promise to share more I wanted to quickly share a few from a recent newborn session. This little sweetie is the new baby of one of my beautiful wedding couples! I LOVE when my wedding couples come back with their new babies! It is so fun watching families grow and evolve through the years! This little one is going to grow up to be a little charmer! See how adorable sweet she is!
I had beautiful twin newborns and a maternity in the studio yesterday! It’s a baby boom for sure with all these babies! I love it!
Off to the studio I go for a busy Sunday! We’re booking seven days a week and evening sessions these days to accommodate our clients busy schedules! The calendar is booking up really tight these days so please plan ahead when booking your session….spring will be here before we know it and my spring outside sessions are almost all booked! So excited to be so busy and I’m loving every moment!

The studio is just hopping with new mamas, newborns, children, models and head shots that I have not had much time for my blog! So, without further adieu, here is a recent adorable family session! The “M” family has been coming to me for a few years now, and I really enjoy seeing clients year after year and seeing how the children grow! This family is no exception! They are sweet and playful and a joy to be around and photograph!

January 8, 2012Little Miss “Z”, age 3, was in the studio the other day for some updated photos for her modeling portfolio. She is such a doll and I had so much fun with her! It was an amazingly beautiful day outside so we squeezed in a few shots outside in the beautiful natural light! Miss “Z” did a wonderful job and she’s going to have a lot of great shots to pick from for her portfolio! She’s a great little model! Check her out!

November 28, 2011Good golly I had the cutest little love in the studio the other day! It’s been such a busy season for us this year and I am so busy editing and shooting and getting things out to everyone! I promise I’ll have more cuties to share soon but I just wanted to pop in with a couple of photos of this little cutie! She has that porcelain doll look! Her grandmother made this beautiful layette in this first shot! It was perfect on her!

Here is a quick peek at a recent studio session. We have some beautiful holiday decor at the studio that we’ll be using for the holiday mini sessions and we tested out one of the sets here! These two little ones were so much fun! I really enjoyed their session, they kept me laughing! Their mom was so organized! She brought a number of outfits and hats for each child and had them neatly organized. We zipped right through this session!
As you can see, they were adorable! I wanted to take them home with me they were so much fun! We got some fun shots, some silly shots, lots of nice shots, mom is going to have a tough time narrowing this one down!

Little Mr. C | RI Baby Photographer
October 15, 2011I wanted to share this great session with a family vacationing at Castle Hill in Newport the other day! Turns out it was one of the most beautiful summer-like days in October! We were comfy out on the beach for the evening shoot. Couldn’t ask for better weather! Little Mr. C. was sweet and adorable and at the perfect age for baby photos! He had us laughing so much with his cuteness! When babies are sitting up but not yet crawling or walking they are as happy as pie to sit for photographs and go on a little excursion looking for perfect locations for a family photograph! Castle Hill is such a beautiful location and makes the most perfect location for a photoshoot. They have woods and grassy areas, gardens and a beautiful beach…soooo many possibilities! We wore Mr. C. out but he did awesome! Here are a few photos from their session!
Oh and I was so lucky to get to capture little Mr. C’s first time in the sand…he was adorable! I just love this shot!
We shot such a variety that evening that I’m having a really tough time narrowing it down! LOL I hope that Mr. C’s mom and dad love this peek! I better get back to work, I’m editing like crazy! Enjoy the weekend everyone!
The “B” Children | RI Child Photographer
October 9, 2011Had a fabulous session with the “B” kids the other day! The weather here this w/e is fabulous for shooting, couldn’t ask for better! the trees are just starting to turn so fall colors are really popping in the images! I have a couple of sessions left if you want to squeeze in before the leaves are gone! Seriously folks, this is the BEST time of year for a session! And you will have prints ready for holiday gifts and, oh, don’t forget the beautiful custom created holiday cards that are so popular at the studio every year! Anyhow, these two were just adorable! Hard to believe but little Miss “M” is only two years old! What fantastic listeners these two are! Oh, and I highly recommend if you have a session coming up to bring hats and fantastic layers of sweaters, vests and scarves! I know it doesn’t feel cool, but they are fabulous additions to photographs adding texture and color! Check these cuties out!
Okay I better stop there…lol. Too many cute ones to pick from! Mom and Dad I hope you love your peek! They did an AWESOME job! You are going to have a really difficult job making your selections!

Halloween Mini Specials and Contest | RI Photographer
September 18, 2011I cannot believe fall is already upon us, why did summer have to go so fast? I do love the fall colors, Halloween costumes, carving pumpkins, fall decorating and warm pumpkin muffins smothered in cream cheese! I’m excited about offering this limited edition Halloween Mini Special to all the ghosts and goblins out there! This year, for two days only, Linda Hawkins Photography will be offering Halloween themed mini-sessions in the studio! The fun takes place Saturday, October 22nd and Sunday October 30th. The sitting is only $25 and there are 3 packages to choose from for this special! I have a super-cute Halloween background planned that will work perfectly with cute or scary costumes and basic black and bright white will also be available!
Once both days are filled, the children who are shot on those two dates will be eligible to win a free session for their immediate family! One photo of each child shot in their costume during the Halloween Mini Specials will be selected and posted here on the blog (no names) and the child with the most comments will win a complimentary Holiday/Christmas session and their choice of 24 – 5×7 custom holiday portrait cards from that session!
You will have your choice of a fall backdrop, black or white. Babies must be able to sit unattended. This is an individual session. $10 additional per person.
