Those of you who follow me on Facebook may have heard that I am part of a truly amazing group of professional portrait photographers from around the world that came together and created a special concept photography group to stretch our creativity in our photography! Every month we select a unique theme and create our interpretation on that theme. November’s theme was The Snow Queen by Hans Christian Andersen. It is amazing to see each of the photographer’s completely different and unique interpretation of the theme! They are all so very different than the next! For my interpretation I went with a more contemporary feel. I was inspired by color, ice crystals and light and wanted my Snow Queen to be interpreted as mysterious and good, full of light, yet cold and somewhat stoic.
I was very lucky to find the most perfect make up artist to work with! Makeup artist, Julie Bohlen was able to pull together the makeup for this shoot to fit exactly what I was looking for! I cannot thank her enough for providing that extra touch that just pushed this shoot over the top! If you’d like to follow Julie you can find her facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/JulieBohlenMakeupArtist I highly recommend her, she was fabulous and fun to work with!
The gown, a beautiful silver creation from the Tony Bowls collection was loaned to us by Couture Bridal in East Greenwich, RI. Proprietor, Annemarie Therriault has an amazing assortment of beautiful gowns in her shop!
Here are some of my shots from my concept shoot! I hope you enjoy!
